Kevin is an independent filmmaker from Minnesota. Through his production company he has Executive Produced several narrative and documentary films including, Meat (2015), Heart of Wilderness (2015), The Bakken (2017), and The Missing Sun (2017). Harvest is his first film as a Director and the first in a series of narrative and documentary projects designed to explore the cultural and personal impacts of rapidly evolving technology.

James is an independent filmmaker from Minneapolis. He earned international attention for his New York Times OpDoc Running on Fumes in North Dakota, a 2014 Top Ten Most Popular OpDoc later exhibited at the Plains Art Museum. He is a 2015 Jerome Foundation Film Production grant recipient for co-directing and photographing The Bakken (2017), and a 2016 IFP Narrative Filmmaker Labs fellow as producer of The Missing Sun (2017). His work directing music videos has been featured in the Huffington Post, Prefix Magazine, and Noisey/Vice. He strives to create cinematic works that cross traditional boundaries separating narrative and documentary technique.
David Choffnes, Ph.D.
Director of Technology
David is an assistant professor in the College of Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University. His research focuses on privacy, security, networking, and distributed systems.
Dr. Choffnes earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Northwestern University (2010), and his B.A. from Amherst College (2002) in Physics and French. He is the author of two textbooks and more than 40 peer-reviewed articles. His research is funded by the NSF, Google, and the Data Transparency Lab, and has been covered by popular press including the Boston Globe, NBC News, Science Magazine, and the MIT Tech Review.
